Fortress

Fort

For 1 Player - Level: Difficult

Layout: Deal out five columns of five cards each on both sides of the playing space. Layout the entire pack, face up, adding an extra card to the top rows.

Foundations - Aces, as they become available - are placed in the middle column, as in the illustration.

To win the game: Build up the Aces in suit to Kings.

Play: After playing whatever cards you can to the foundations, you can start building in suit on the exposed cards in the layout, one card at a time. You can build up or down on the layout, but not both ways in the same row.

Chessboard

Fives

Play in exactly the same way as Fortress, except, instead of putting Aces in the foundation column, choose whatever card you want after dealing out the layout.
