Aces
This is a game for any number of players. It is usually played for a pot, and the winner is the player throwing the last Ace (1) with the last die.
Equipment
Each player requires five dice and a throwing cup.
Order of play
Order of play is determined by a preliminary round, in which each player tries
to throw the highest Poker hand.
Numbers rank: 1 (high), 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 (low). The player with the highest ranking hand becomes first shooter. The other players then sit in clockwise order in accordance with the hands they have thrown. Ties are resolved by further throws.
Play
The first shooter throws his dice, and transfers to the centre of the
table any 1s that come up. Any 2s in his throw are passed to the player to his
left, and any 5s to the player to his right.
He continues throwing, until he fails to make any of these numbers on a throw, or until he has disposed of all his dice. Although he may have no dice left, he is still in the game, since he may later receive dice from the players to his left and right.
Play continues in a clockwise direction around the table, until all the dice, except one, have been transferred to the centre.
The winner (or loser) is the player, who throws the last Ace with that die.
